Burn My Desire is out of TestFlight and on the App Store for iPhone — free to download, with Pro as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

If the iPhone's Keychain can't be read when the app opens — for instance straight after a restart, before the phone has been unlocked once — the app now stops rather than creating a new encryption key. A new key would have made the history already on the phone permanently unreadable; stopping keeps it safe until the Keychain answers.

Parked desires, the follow-up questions and the monthly free allowance now keep proper time when the app has sat in the background for days, instead of acting as if no time had passed since it was last opened.

The weekly Ash Report no longer slips an hour either side when the clocks change.

The Wealth tiles line up however their labels wrap, and Ashes has its own icon — scattered embers instead of a clock.

Black hole, a new Pro burn effect. A singularity opens in the middle of the sheet and the picture falls into it — drawn inward on circular arcs, stretching as it goes, until the last of it disappears through a ring of light. The button reads Hold to collapse.

Restore purchases now tells you what happened instead of succeeding and failing in identical silence.

Redeem a code, in Settings — for codes from a giveaway or a creator. And a Support ID you can copy, which identifies an installation rather than a person.

Every screen now runs the paper to the edges of the display, so cards float on the full sheet instead of inside a margin.

The burn has sound. A low catch as it takes, a rise as the front crosses the photo, and a settle as it turns to ash — mutable in Settings, and silent when your phone is.

Reveal and pop-in timings retuned across the app so entrances stagger rather than arriving all at once.

iCloud backup, on by default. Your history rides along in the encrypted device backup — Apple holds the file, and the key never leaves your Keychain, so nobody at Apple or here can open it.

Pro encrypted export: write your whole history to a single passphrase-locked file, and restore it on a new phone. Lose the passphrase and the file is genuinely gone — there is no reset link, by design.

The database is now encrypted with SQLCipher, using a key generated on first launch and stored in the iOS Keychain rather than shipped in the app.

Photos and written thought pages are written with complete data protection, which makes them unreadable while the phone is locked.

"Erase everything" now destroys the encryption key alongside the data, so nothing is recoverable even from a stale backup.

The burn ritual moved to a fragment shader: a travelling noise threshold produces a ragged front with a glowing edge, char just ahead of it, and a curl where the sheet buckles into the heat.

Holds at 60fps on hardware several generations back — one full-screen pass, no render targets, and the noise is computed rather than sampled from a texture.

Letting go mid-burn now cools the front back down smoothly instead of snapping the photo back to full opacity.
